Announcing a NEW logo for AASCA.

To reflect the future of specialty coffee for Australasia a new logo has been designed. AASCA was originally set up to stage the Australian barista championships and help the New Zealand barista championship get under way.

The scope of the Association has now broadened to include cupping championships as well as Latte Art and coffee and alcohol competitions. The cupping championship in particular is bringing together a new breed of coffee roasters and baristas as never before and as a result the association needs to reflect their interests to a greater degree.

The logo above was approved by the AASCA management committee and was organized by Gina Di Brita in a record short amount of time.

It reflects the integration of both roasters and baristas who are now an equally important part of the future of specialty coffee in Australasia. I am sure you will agree this is a great improvement on our old and increasingly outdated logo which has served us well up until now. The new logo as you can see above is a very simple yet strong and adaptable logo and I am sure will serve the Association well into the future. Congratulations to Gina for doing such a commendable job.

"COFFEE PASSION"
Vision Statement
As a part of reviewing and auditing our current position it would appear that the Association does not have a current vision statement. We would like to address this by inviting all members to have input into an inaugural vision statement. We invite you to be a part of this so the Association can make sure it reflects your concerns and aspirations as members of this wonderful and diverse coffee community. The starting point is the theme that unites us: AASCA ‘Coffee Passion’.

We will post the combined results as we progress on the website here
